The message came through. It was loud and clear.
On March 1st, 2010,
My precious life on earth, as I know it,
Could abruptly have come to an end.

In a near-fatal crash on the highway of life,
God gave me a fresh, new start.
He gave me a multitude of new opportunities
To serve Him with all my heart.

O Lord, my God, You have my attention!
Speak! Your servant is listening;
Let every command fall like sweet dew from heaven
Until my whole world is glistening.

Just like Jonah, may I be quick to respond
To throw everything off the boat;
‘Til meaningless things sink out of sight,
And only Your Word is afloat.

O Lord, my God, how fleeting my life!
Show me the number of my days,
That I may value each moment in time
And give You all my praise!
